What is First Fold?
What does listed on First Fold mean?
The term First Fold refers to the part of the web page that displays “above the fold” without requiring you to scroll. In the photo above this means the first 4 results on the first page of the search engine result pages (SERP’s).
If your site is not listed on First Fold, chances are very slim that your site will get clicked on.

Google’s content network now allows advertisers to bid only on pay-per-click slots that are located within a user’s browser window or in the first fold. Advertisers pay a premium for those first fold, pay-per-click ads.
The term “fold” is used in the printing industry and refers to the way newspapers are folded. Advertising that is printed “above the fold” is more valuable than advertisements that are located on the underside or below the fold.
